Miss Mbuzini 2023 crowned
In a remarkable pageant, Noluvo Mabuza took home the title of Miss Mbuzini 2023.

In a glitzy, well-attended event hosted in the Samora Machel Community Hall recently, Noluvo Mabuza was crowned the Queen of Mbuzini 2023.

She takes the baton over from Miss Mbuzini 2022, Phumla Nkalanga.

Mabuza only began modelling in 2018 and has a long list of titles to her name.
“In 2018, I competed in my first pageant, Miss Mbuzini High School, and later won the first princess title of Miss Valentine. In 2020 I competed and won Miss Teenager Lockdown Mpumalanga. I previously won Miss Barbie (confidence), Miss Valentine (confidence), Miss Season of All Times, Miss Youth Empowerment Service First Princess and Public Choice Miss Nkomazi Pride.”

She said it was not an easy journey, competing in the Miss Mbuzini competition.
“Being crowned Miss Mbuzini makes me feel incredibly fortunate and happy. I had a challenging race, but I am proud of myself for persisting to compete for this crown. I firmly believe in going after what I want to achieve, regardless of how difficult or far away it may be,” she said.
During her reign as Miss Mbuzini 2023, Mabuza plans on helping the destitute.
“Since I believe that generosity starts at home, as the new queen, I will be assisting the disadvantaged in my community. After the start of the new school year, I’ll host a pad drive to distribute sanitary towels to girls from underprivileged families, because no girl child should skip school due to lack of sanitary towels.”

She said she would also be collecting clothes to give away.
“Additionally, I’ll be donating clothing to home-based care facilities. As part of our ongoing efforts to give back to the community, we are planning to host a poetry fundraiser show in the middle of the year to raise money for children who rely on home-based care for help with necessities like food and clothing. We are looking for support in any way we can to make this event a success.”

She added that she wanted to inspire young girls who are interested in competing in beauty pageants, to have confidence in themselves and be consistent to succeed.
“Be as true to yourself as you can. Exercise bravery. Have confidence in your own abilities and constantly work to improve yourself,” she advised.
