Three die in multiple-vehicle collision on N4 towards Belfast

Two light delivery vehicles, an articulated truck and a minibus taxi were involved in a crash on the N4, the cause of which is still under investigation.

Three people lost their lives in a collision involving four vehicles on the N4 near Woestalleen and the Arnot turn-off towards Belfast on Tuesday morning, September 12, at about 05:00.

According to the spokesperson for the Department of Community Safety, Security and Liaison, Moeti Mmusi, two light delivery vehicles, an articulated truck and a minibus taxi were involved.

“The deceased included two children and an adult female who were occupants in the minibus. Two people were seriously injured, while 14 other people escaped with slight injuries. The cause of the crash is not known at this point. The probe is under way. The emergency personnel and law enforcement officers were at the scene to control traffic and investigate this crash. This will likely affect the flow of traffic.”
