WATCH: Hoërskool Nelspruit celebrates Mpumalanga’s Class of 2023’s overall top learner
Niandi Coetzee officially received her car after being named the province’s top achieving learner in the 2023 National Senior Certificate examinations.
Officials of the Mpumalanga Department of Education and Hoërskool Nelspruit gathered to officially hand over Niandi Coetzee’s prize car to her for being the province’s best overall learner in the Class of 2023.
The handover took place at the school’s rugby field on January 30.
Coetzee obtained six distinctions with an average pass rate of 93.8%.

The Class of 2024 sang the school’s traditional spirit-building “Nellies Shosholoza” to celebrate Coetzee.
She also encouraged them to strive for excellence in all they do and to utilise all the opportunities the school presents them.

The MEC for education, Bonakele Majuba, handed the keys over to Coetzee.
