Community organisation continues its school shoe drive in Pienaar

A community organisation continues to uplift underprivileged learners by donating shoes to them.

The Siyanakekela Community Organisation, founded by Thandazile Mnisi, donated 48 pairs of school shoes to the children of five primary schools in Pienaar on February 29.

Mnisi said the continuous school shoe drives managed to attract local businesses to sponsor R20 000 to them.

“Learners of Sibambisene Primary, Tibonele Primary, Tiga Primary, Msogwaba Primary and Mbokodo benefited from these school shoes, which we hope will make a difference in their schooling experience this year. We call upon more community stakeholders to join in the drive and make a difference in the children’s life,” she said.
