An aspiring young rapper says his love of music is helping him share all about the challenges faced by young people in life.

Shaun Nicol Ngwenyama, also known as King Karyol, said he has big dreams.

This 21-year-old is still trying to find his way in the music industry and believes he will achieve his dreams with dedication.

King Karyol released his latest single in September 2023, titled “Emaweni”, and according to him, this is his best-performing single. The song is about challenges he faces as a young man and how he manages to conquer them.

He said he was inspired by his childhood friend to start making music.

“I found my true beats through mixing two genres together, trap and rap. I released my first single, ‘Ikasi Lami’, in 2012, and that is when I started engaging with my followers. In 2018, I collaborated with Nandzi Flex Kid. We released a single titled ‘Lomkakho’. The fans were happy and surprised that Nandzi and King did a song together. In 2021, we released another EP, titled ‘Selfie in the Sky’.”

Ngwenyama is currently self-employed and owns a barber shop. He said his plans for 2024 is to drop an album, published by Bernard Phori ‘Bigboy’, aka the Leggrero Publishing Company.

“My plan is to submit the album to local radio stations. I believe this is going to be my first break,” he said.
