Mphatseni hip-hop artist celebrates friendship with new track

Mphatseni hip-hop artist honours friend with new track.

An aspiring local hip-hop artist has released a song that has people moving and talking about the message it carries.
Tsepo Dube, also known as “Mlezzi”, said his song “Mngani wami” (‘My friend’) is dedicated to his childhood friend.

Because they grew up together and faced challenges together, he wanted to show his appreciation for the role his friend had played in his life.
This 19-year-old musician said listeners love the song and he has received good feedback about it.
Mlezzi started singing when he was in primary school and was inspired by artists such as Emtee and Saudi.

“They inspired me because they sing motivational songs that give hope. I initially joined the school choir in 2016, and then started performing for my peers,” said Mlezzi.

One of his greatest achievements was receiving a certificate for the Best Hip-hop Newcomer at last year’s Mpumalanga Hip-hop Music Awards.
Mlezzi said he is currently studying and is busy producing the music video for “Mngani wami”.

He said his dream is to perform on the big stage one day and to change people’s lives through his music. “I want to have my own record label one day and sign talented artists in the community.
Mlezzi’s music can be found on all music streaming platforms.
