KaBokweni pupils display readiness to serve as future professionals

The Grade Seven learners of Bongamlambo Primary School explored their passions and interests for future careers.

The Grade Seven learners of Bongamlambo Primary School in Newscom, KaBokweni, believe that they are a few steps closer to achieving their dreams of becoming doctors, lawyers and engineers as they dressed up for the annual career day on Wednesday, September 11.

The school’s life orientation teacher and organiser of the career day, Simangele Nkosi, said the pupils were encouraged by the annual project to explore their passions and interests.

“They were inspired to explore their career aspirations, while the importance of hard work, dedication and knowledge in achieving their dreams was also emphasised. It was a special day as the learners manifested successful careers for themselves. I was greatly impressed by the creative and thoughtful costumes of doctors, engineers, teachers and artists. It is clear that these children have big dreams,” she said.

Her message to these future professionals is to remember that it takes hard work and perseverance to achieve any dream. “Most importantly, remember that you have the power to create the future you want,” Nkosi added.
