“This programme is held annually to recognise the young talents who have made an immense contribution to our school and the society. These learners exhibit qualities that will not only help them in becoming productive citizens, but also bring glory of success to our school. John Mdluli Primary has consistently achieved above a 90% pass rate throughout the years. All our 1 408 learners in 2024 have very distinct qualities that can make them a success in different spheres of life. We are a full service school and accommodate all, including leaners with barriers, and our dedicated teachers work tirelessly to nurture each and everyone to their full potential. It is a very frustrating duty at times, but very rewarding. Some need more time and attention than others, but we eventually get most of them to where we want them to be.”
Charles said the ceremony did not only celebrate the achievements of the learners, but it also gave due regard to the school’s values and morals, being compassion, respect, responsibility, trustworthiness, self-esteem, kindness and positivity.
