Doctor fatally shot in Mbombela

The police are urging members of the public with any information to report it immediately.

A 34-year-old doctor was fatally shot in the parking lot at Virgin Active Riverside by some unknown assailants today, November 20.

A provincial police spokesperson, Captain Magonseni Nkosi, said: “At about 06:00, the victim parked her car and got out. As she was walking towards the gym, a Toyota Starlet drove towards her.

One of the suspects got out of the vehicle and shot the woman three times before they fled the scene. Nothing was stolen from her.”

ER24 paramedics declared the woman dead on the scene.

The police ask that anyone with information report it to Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or use the My SAPS app.
