Themba Nkambule (32) pleaded guilty to all four charges.
Themba Nkambule (32) from Ekangala has been convicted and sentenced to four life terms for multiple rapes committed in Ekangala and Kwaggafontein.
He was sentenced by the Kwaggafontein Regional Court yesterday, November 26.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority’s regional spokesperson, Monica Nyuswa, the incidents happened between 2011 and 2019. Nkambule’s method was the same in all four incidents.
“He encountered the victims during the night on the street and forcefully took them to a secluded bush and raped them. Three of the victims were raped twice. They were between 14 and 17 years old and did not know their attacker. They reported their ordeal to the police and the accused was linked with DNA in all the cases.”
