Nduh the Poetess crowned as the best in Nkomazi

Nduh the Poetess is a passionate poet with a dream to make her creative work accessible to everyone.

Nonduduzo Mathonsi, affectionately known as Nduh the Poetess, was crowned as Nkomazi’s best poet at the Nkomazi Excellence Recognition Awards (Nera) on November 23.

Also known as Imbongi Yemaphupho, this poet from Masibekela said her passion and dedication to the craft are the main attributes to this success.

“My passion for poetry runs quite deep and has taken me this far. However, I acknowledge that this recognition is not just a testament to my effort, but also to the support and encouragement I have received from fellow poets and mentors. I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to share my thoughts and words with the world,” said Mathonsi.

She also said there is a lot in store for her fans in the coming year.

“I have experienced so much growth, to a point where I am confident there’s a market out there for my work. Therefore, I will start making my poems available for downloading and I will also soon be selling USBs that have my work on for people to indulge in.”
