Businesswomen elect a new council leader for Nelspruit branch
These local businesswomen meet once a month for an informative networking session. They also support one another’s businesses.
The South African Council of Business Women (SACBW) Nelspruit held its last event of the year at Southern Sun Emnotweni on December 5.
The members of the business council and local businesswomen meet once every month. During these sessions, they encourage one another, support one another’s businesses and learn new things, as they have unique topics they discuss at every meeting.

During this month’s event, they announced the SACBW Nelspruit’s new business leader and got to network. They walked down memory lane before they introduced Blessing Sunday as the new local leader. The former one, Tracy-Erin Duggan, welcomed her to her new role.
Duggan said after having the opportunity of working closely with Sunday over the past few years, she could see she was enthusiastic and well qualified to take on this challenge. “I am excited for the future of the branch. I wish her everything of the best.”

The SACBW’s regional leader, Estelle Roe, expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards Duggan, who has held this office for three years. Roe acknowledged Duggan’s hard work, dedication and contribution to the SACBW Nelspruit.
“Duggan brought the Nelspruit branch to their well-celebrated success as the SACBW Branch of the Year 2024. During her leadership, Duggan managed to take the branch to new heights. The business council is excited for the future of this branch as Sunday takes the reigns. Duggan will remain a member of the council as the committee plans to host the National Gala in Mbombela in 2025,” she said.
