Bushbuckridge music producer to explore more of his talents

One of his goals is exploring his other interests, such as acting and videography.

Music production and exploring his many interests in the entertainment industry is what Advanced Ndhlovu (26) from Marite, also known as SK Lapho, does every day.

He ventured into producing music in 2013 and has since mastered this skill to produce any song in any genre, including the popular Marite music called ‘Morupelo’.

“I learnt how to produce music when I got my first computer on which I downloaded free music-producing software. I never looked back or second-guessed my passion for music. I made my own songs that I never released officially, but some local artists are starting to make use of me as a producer,” he said.

Ndhlovu produced and released his debut album, titled Ngwana ye Kewaka, that comprises seven Morupelo songs.

“Bushbuckridge locals love this album and it’s mostly played during celebrations of initiates when they come back from the ingoma.”

He said he grew up with a musical background and sang in school.

Ndhlovu said he has dreams of working with big artists and producers so he can become famous.

“I won’t give up on my passion. I want to explore my other interests such as acting and videography for music videos and films. I also want to impart my production skills to people who want to learn how to do it.”

He said he is always making new music and will release some in due time.
