Fans were left delighted by the display of football and the way referees managed the game throughout.
Junior Callies won 2-1. Both teams are at the bottom of the league’s log standings. Phuthi FC’s chairman, Alfred Tshehla, said they regret missing their chances, especially in the first half.

“We will go back to the drawing board and resolve some issues. We should be a better team in our next match. The boys were not vigilant at the back and we were good at the beginning of the match but we conceded still. We came back strong with lot of opportunities in the second half as well, but they only got two chances and used them,” said Tshehla.

The Junior Callies FC coach, Muzi Ngwenyama, said he is proud of the boy’s determination. This win comes after three consecutive defeats.
“These three points will help us because we have to fill in the gaps made by the loses in previous games. We are going to work harder with the boys to win the four remaining games,” said Ngwenyama.
