The National Cyber Lab Programme, co-ordinated by the State Information Technology Agency, will benefit the pupils and educators of Mdzabu Secondary School for a digitally positioned future.
The deputy minister of communication and digital technologies, Mondli Gungubele, officially handed over the cyber lab on Saturday, March 29.

Gungubele said it is a cutting-edge computer facility equipped with high-end technology and digital tools, including laptops, digital screens, servers and internet connectivity.
“The cyber lab initiative goes beyond simply installing computers and internet connectivity in schools. It is a bold commitment to skills development and digital transformation, empowering our communities by giving learners access to cutting-edge technology, while also equipping educators with the tools needed to excel in a digital classroom environment,” he said.
Pupils were taken through lessons in different digital technologies, including robotics, coding, digital skills and artificial intelligence. Other stakeholders such as Honor and Telkom donated schoolbags and other learning materials.
Mdzabu Secondary joined a cohort of other schools from the KZN, Gauteng, North West, Northern Cape, Limpopo and Eastern Cape that have been digitally connected through state-of-the-art cyber labs.
