Fortune and Easthigh to replay Engen Cup final after abandoned shoot-out
The Engen Knockout Challenge delivered thrilling matches, with the Mpumalanga School of Excellence and Sinani United FC eliminated.
The 2025 Engen Knockout Challenge, known as the Engen Cup, delivered an action-packed day of football during the quarter-finals and semi-finals held at KaBokweni Stadium on Saturday, July 5.
The highly anticipated final between Fortune Academy and Easthigh Academy FC ended goalless after regular time, but the match was called off during the penalty shoot-out due to a lack of floodlights at the stadium.
A new date for the replay will be confirmed and communicated to both teams and supporters. The postponed final is eagerly awaited, with Fortune Academy and Easthigh Academy set to battle it out once again for the championship title.

Earlier, in the quarter-finals, Mpumalanga (MP) School of Excellence secured a narrow 1-0 win over KMS Screamers, while Fortune Academy knocked out Bohlabela FC with a 2-0 victory. Easthigh Academy booked their place in the semi-finals after edging KMQ Academy 1-0.
In the semi-finals, MP School of Excellence was eliminated by Fortune Academy following a 0-0 draw and a 4-3 loss in the penalty shoot-out. Easthigh Academy claimed their spot in the final with a 1-0 win over Bakoena Chiefs.
