Police arrest three suspected card scammers in Standerton
Links to other similar incidents are being investigated by police.

Police in Standerton have arrested three suspects, aged between 33 and 47, in connection with a card scamming incident.
The arrests took place on the R39 road between Morgenzon and Standerton on July 18 at approximately 13:50.

According to information received, at around 12:30, a private security company responded to a complaint about a card scam that occurred at a local filling station ATM.
CCTV footage from the filling station captured images of the suspects and the vehicle they were using.
During police patrols, a vehicle matching the description was spotted in a nearby complex.
Upon noticing the police presence, the suspects attempted to flee towards Morgenzon via the R39 road. Officers gave chase and swiftly intercepted the vehicle.
The suspects, who are residents of Daveyton, were found in possession of several bank cards.
The vehicle believed to have been used in the commission of the crime was seized.
The three suspects are expected to appear in the Standerton District Court on Monday, July 21.
Investigations are ongoing, and police are looking into the possibility that the suspects may be linked to other similar cases in the area.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Major General Dr Zeph Mkhwanazi, has applauded both the police officers and the security company for their swift action and collaboration in apprehending the suspects.
