Theatre festival ignites creativity
Job opportunities were created at the Delmas' theatre event, where community members showcased their talents through music, dance, and performances.
A theatrical initiative recently empowered local performers while cultivating creative industry skills and fostering economic growth.
The two-day inaugural Delmas Community Theatre Festival managed to create 40 employment opportunities.
The director of Delmas Community Theatre, Sherlyn Mthombeni, said she is excited to bring creative opportunities to Victor Khanye Local Municipality and surrounding areas.

“Community members showed strong support for the festival, indicating a clear interest and readiness for more initiatives of this nature. We are planning another event next year, with the intention to expand into a major cultural event that will be beneficial, both to local artists and to audiences from Delmas surrounds,” Mthombeni said.
