According to Sithembiso Shabangu, a staff member of Transnet-Phelophepa, the train will offer screenings for dental services, tests for diabetes and cancer (with Pap smears for women and prostate checks for men), general healthcare screening, an eye clinic (service does not include operations or bifocals) and counselling services.
Community members are advised to arrive at the train early as healthcare will be provided on a first come, first served basis, with a limited number of patients seen per day.
