Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and SPCA vaccinate 150 pets in Kabokweni
Pet owners in Dwaleni and Mbonisweni turned out in numbers to support a local animal health drive that provided vaccinations, food, and treats.
The Kruger Mpumalanga International (KMI) Airport partnered with the SPCA for a pet vaccination drive at Dwaleni and Mbonisweni in Kabokweni, from July 16 to July 17.
The members vaccinated almost 150 dogs and cats against rabies, mange, ticks and fleas, and dewormed the puppies.
White River SPCA inspector Michelle van Wyk highlighted that some of the residents received dog and cat food, blankets and treats after the drive.
“We distributed some dog and cat food, blankets provided to as many as we could. We did run out but looking forward to collect more for further distribution and education in future endeavors in the same areas,” she siad.

KMI Airport community liaison manager Mbongeni Mashigo said the drive sought to assist local residents with basic vaccinations for their pets to help them grow healthier.

He highlighted that the majority of the residents who brought their pets were children. The organisers appreciated the turnout of community members making use of such initiatives that benefit the community.
