Notice is hereby given that an application for a basic environmental impact assessment will be submitted with the Mpumalanga Department of Agriculture Rural, Development, Land & Environmental Affairs (DARDLEA) for the authorization of regulated activities in terms of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), as amended and the amended EIA Regulations (2014): Listing Notice 1, Activity14 and Listing Notice 1, Activity 27

Proposed transformation of land to residential, business and industrial use as well as a filling station on the remaining extent of portion 11 and the remaining extent of portion 112 of the farm Maggiesdal 456-JT, City of Mbombela.

Project description:
The site is situated on the southern outskirts of Nelspruit on Road R40 towards Barberton. The applicant intends to construct and operate a filling station for the storage and handling of dangerous goods (fuel and oil), where such storage occurs in containers with a combined capacity of 80m or more but not exceeding 500m. Additional uses are proposed for business, industry and high-density residential development. Central site coordinates are 2530`48.77″S / 3057`2.29″E.
