Social networks left abuzz with top eight performances

“You had me on the edge of my chair! Keep it up!”

SA Idols top-eight contestants sang their hearts out and had the audience on their feet on Sunday’s night show.

Song choices were in use from Soundtracks of movies themed “Movie magic anthem’’ under the mentorship of International film composer, Trevor Jones.

Zoe, opened the show with Pink, Christina Aguilera’s Marmalade from the 2001 movie “Luhrmann Moulin Rouge.” And she left the audience assembled for the next South African Idol in the Moratele Park screaming for more. Our very own Graskop Boy Brenden, nicknamed Ben 10, sang “This woman’s work” by Maxwell from the movie “Falsetto. Proverb” said he nearly broke off the screamometer as the audience couldn’t stop screaming and Unathi was left in tears and couldn’t hold back her tears.

While his fans tweeted @Illow had to say “you had me on the edge of my chair! Keep it up!” and @Missmorris27 said “First time actually getting goose bumps while watching a performance #speechless”

Musa sang Brian McKnight’s ballad “Win” from the 2000 flick movie “Men of Honor,” his performance was good. Unathi absolutely loved his performance and she even said she loved the way he represents himself to the people.
