Province gears up for spectacle

The province is gearing for yet another spectacle between Mpumalanga Black Aces and Orlando Pirates, scheduled for next Tuesday at the Mbombela Stadium.

The province is gearing for yet another spectacle between Mpumalanga Black Aces and Orlando Pirates, scheduled for next Tuesday at the Mbombela Stadium.

Preparations for this midweek fixture are already at an advanced stage and word from both the Premier Soccer League and the Mbombela Stadium management is that tickets for this mouth-watering clash are already on sale.

According to Mthuthuzeli Qamba, they are anticipating a huge turnout and therefore advise those planning to attend the game to buy tickets before the weekend winds up.

“Taking into cognisant that this is the only PSL fixture on Tuesday night, makes it a definitely must-see clash for local supporters. “Also keep in mind that Orlando Pirates have a huge following and that Black Aces have been playing good football lately and this will certainly make more people want to come to the stadium.

“We have done all we can in a bid to market this game and try to attract more spectators to the stadium and I hope our efforts were not in vain,” he said. “Local soccer supporters should keep in mind that Aces are bringing these games here for them, and so they must also play their part by filling up the stadium,” went on Qamba.

He said they had organised buses to ferry soccer supporters to and from the stadium for this midweek clash. “We have arranged buses and will operate from the usual park-and-ride destinations.

The park and ride at the Nelspruit Plaza is currently not operating because of the construction taking place there.

“Those in town should utilise the newly allocated park and ride situated at the bus terminus. “Parking will be available at the stadium for motorists, but we would like to advise them to come early so they don’t miss the game.”
