Aces want to uphold its unbeaten record

MBOMBELA -KaNyamazane Stadium is set to be the battlefield for the Absa Premiership fixture between Mpumalanga Black Aces and Polokwane City.
Scheduled for this Saturday, the home team will play their first game of the season at 15:00 and expect to uphold their unbeaten record.
Having held Mamelodi Sundowns to a goalless draw fortnig ago, Aces will certainly approach this game with nothing less than a winning mentality.
“The attitude in the camp is that we must start winning all our home games and at least try to gain a point when playing away.
“We have all the resources and the winning mentality, and so there is absolutely nothing stopping us from achieving our goals,” said Gordon Masondo, the Aces spokesperson.
He said they expected nothing but win against the in-form Polokwane City.
“We have been watching them and I must say they are currently in-form and will definitely put up a brave fight, but we will not bow down in our own backyard. This is a must-win for us.”
Playing at KaNyamazane Stadium, Masondo said they wanted to bring the action closer to their supporters.
Polokwane City is currently playing fantastic football and may give Clive Barker’s boys some headaches on Saturday.
In their last two away games they managed to collect six points.
They beat Wits 2-0 and Free State Stars with 5-2 and with this in mind, they too will come to this game with a winning attitude.
Polokwane City are currently in position 12 with 10 points, while Aces are in sixth with 16 points and are adamant to remain in the top eight this season.
