Dramatic events unfolded this week! Twitter users made sure they are all above board. From President Zuma’s cabinet reshuffling, Uncle Kathy’s funeral to Helene Zille’s colonial tweets, were topical issues.

1. We are starting with the #Cabinetreshuffle because it is important. Twitter users are disgruntled about the reshuffle list that circulated on social media last night. Many were in disbelief and took jabs at the president for the reshuffle. Pravin Gordhan was removed as finance minister provoking anger to many South Africans.

2. So much shade was aimed at President Zuma at the ANC’s veteran #UncleKathysfuneral on Tuesday. Former Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe received a stand-ovation after reading uncle Kathy’s letter to Zuma. Thabo Mbeki was sitting stone-faced, the tension was unbearable.

3. This morning twitter users were shocked after popular musician #UnathiMsengana took to instagram to announce her departure from Metro FM. This comes more than a week after her former breakfast show co-host Glen Lewis announced his resignation after 22 years at the station.

4. The Western Cape Legislature debated Premier #HelenZille’s colonial tweets. It is unknown whether DA leader Mmusi Maimane called her to order but she later apologised. Social media has not forgiven her though and never will.

5. Veteran actor Joe Mafela’s tombstone caused a frenzy on social media after photos circulated on social media. It is a creative tombstone but twitter hurled the darkest of shades by criticising the tombstone.
