Local producer is all about the beats

Being part of the Back to the City Festival, sharing the stage with the likes of Cassper Nyovest, Riky Rick and Emtee are some of the highlights of his career.

Local music producer, Spiro Beats started the year on a good note with his new single, “Umpetha”.

Clinton Senzo Mbatha, popularly known as Spiro Beats, is a record producer and mixing engineer who reckons he is one of the most talented young producers to come out of the province.

He explained that in his latest release he added a twist of Amapiano, a genre of electronic dance music that seems to have taken South Africa’s music industry by storm.

“The song, which features artists Ticos Van Trek and 99Wrld, was released this month on all music platforms. I hope it will get me the recognition I deserve as a producer,” he said.
The producer plans to release his highly anticipated upcoming album, SUPREME, under his record label, Preme Audio.

He has previously worked with up-and-coming artists in the province, as well as Nigerian-based artist, Ruggedman. Being part of the Back to the City Festival, sharing the stage with the likes of Cassper Nyovest, Riky Rick and Emtee are some of the highlights of his career.

“SUPREME is a 10-track album with a sing-a-long and upbeat songs, including ‘Yibo Labo Sesi’. One of the songs features an international artist who will be revealed once the album is released.”
Spiro Beats has plans to continue producing, releasing and delivering more timeless music under his label.

“The sky’s the limit. I am willing to soar to greater heights and put this province on the map,” he said excitedly.
