Mangweni gospel singer ventures into two passions at once

Have you ever been caught between two worlds and did not know which to choose? Well, gospel singer and founder of Tehila Music, Thenjiswa Makhushe has a taste of both worlds.

Her music has reached the UK, Zambia, Swaziland, Botswana and Namibia. “I started singing at a very young age. I knew I wanted to do it for the rest of my life, but the problem came when I became passionate about my studies in university. I was confused as to which one should I pursue, but my then-lecturer told me that I could do both,” said Makhushe.

Makhushe started her record label in 2017 with the hope of helping those who need a helping hand to kickstart their careers in music. “The main purpose of my record label is to mentor people and to prepare them mentally for the industry and its twists,” said Makhushe.

“People can find my music on different gospel channels, including TBN Africa and ONE Gospel. I want to inspire more people and tell them that anything is possible if you believe and set your eyes on it.”
