Little boy electrocuted at Matsafeni

Perfect Lethu Mnisi, a grade three learner at  John Mdluli Primary School, was last seen with his friends on Wednesday afternoon.

A nine-year-old boy died when he was electrocuted by a live wire which was illegally connected to supply electricity to new stands in Matsafeni.

The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon outside Woodhouse.

“We were shocked when we were later called to the scene at which he was electrocuted by illegal connection used by people from the new stands,” said his grieving mother, Nozipho Mnisi.

Capt Zandile Gqawa, spokesperson of Nelspruit Police Station said, “The police opened an inquest. Investigations still continue”.
