Netflix mocks DStv in latest online advertisement
It’s been a public back-and-forth between the two entertainment giants, but Netflix has stepped it up with their latest advertisement.

The advert, posted on Monday, features local comedian, Jason Goliath, as a Netflix employee tasked with ‘installing’ the service in homes.
It’s the perfect blend of clever satire, and sarcasm, sure to offend an already sensitive DStv.

Multichoice has voiced their complaints,Mawela complained bitterly about the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA), and their perceived favouritism towards Netflix, saying:
“[Netflix do not employ locals], that, we think, is an unfair advantage. They do not pay a cent in this country for tax. They do not pay income tax. That gives them a nice advantage to capture the audience. You are strangling us more and more, while you are giving them free rein.”
