An accident involving three vehicles left five people dead between Poplar Creek and Montrose in the Lowveld region of Mpumalanga on Friday morning.

According to Martin Jeffrey of Emer-G-Med, who was on the scene, the accident occurred at around 11:00.

“Among the victims were three Holland internationals and two South African nationals,” Jeffrey said.

The tourists were occupants of a Quantum minibus, who were among the vehicles involved. A bakkie, and a truck, were also involved in what seems like a head-on collision.
