For those who may not know, in the Xhosa culture it used to be a norm for a makoti to confirm to certain societal rules, with some set by the family. Those often included letting go of a life associated with outdoors, especially partying, as the aim has always been seen as to build a home. Time has passed and several couples choose to live their truths, doing what works for them regardless of what the societies deems as a norm. There are, however, some who still strongly believe and practice these societal rules strongly.
Alongside one another, Judy and her husband appear to be quite vibrant in their dance challenge videos, and continue to break societal norms as they dance together to amapiano tunes.
