Bozwana will be laid to rest in Pretoria on Saturday.
“He [Brink] was driving when a car stopped next to his, the passenger rolled down the window and a gun appeared. Bullets were fired at him but he was not hit,” said the spokesperson.
Shaken, Brink drove to Garsfontein police to report the incident, but police apparently failed to open a case.
The spokesperson said the recent events will not deter the company from rolling out Orgazma countrywide.
Gauteng police spokesperson Lieutenant-Colonel Lungelo Dlamini confirmed the murder attempt was under investigation.
Police are also investigating why the Garsfontein Police Station failed to open an attempted murder charge when Brink came to report it.In the incident in which Bozwana was killed, he was travelling in a yellow Renault with Orgazma energy drink branding when a gunman opened fire.
Bozwana was in the passenger seat and his female companion Mpho Baloyi was driving the vehicle.
It is understood the pair stopped at the Garsfontein robot on the N1 off ramp when they were approached by a dark colored BMW M3.
Police spokesperson Asnath Melatsi said a man emerged from the BMW, approached the passenger side of the Renault and opened fire.
She said at least 12 bullet casings were recovered from the scene.
