Bus transporting children overturns in Johannesburg

The children were on their way to a cross-country event when the accident happened.

Several children were injured when a bus overturned on a steep corner at Delta Park in Johannesburg this morning.

The bus was transporting athletes to a cross-country meeting at the park, where it overturned just outside the park.

A journalist from the Middelburg Observer was at the scene when the incident took place.

Tobie van den Bergh travelled to Johannesburg to support his granddaughter at the cross-country meeting when the accident occurred right behind him.

At the time of publishing, it was unclear how many children were injured and what the extent of their injuries are. No fatalities were reported.
