The number of confirmed positive cases is currently 1934 in the country, President Cyril Ramaphosa, announced on Thursday evening.

President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation following a late-night meeting a meeting of the National Coronavirus Command Council on Wednesday and consultations with various social partners during the course of Thursday.
Globally over 1,5 million people have been infected since the start of the pandemic and over 92 000 Covid-19 deaths have been recorded.
