Gauteng Covid-19 active cases at 19 268
163 new cases were recorded.

Gauteng’s overall Covid-19 positive cases climbed to 219 202 with 195 729 recoveries and 4 205 deaths thus far, according to figures published by the Department of Health.
This saw the province having about 19 268 active cases.
The Gauteng province recorded 163 new cases on Monday.
The Department of Health said out of 139 760 contacts traced (individuals who were in contact with a person who tested positive for Covid-19), 119 448 people have completed the 10 days monitoring period, with no symptoms reported and were de-isolated.
The number of hospitalised people due to Covid-19 in the province stood at 1 200.
Breakdown per district of cases and recoveries:
- Johannesburg: 87 556 cases and 82 101 recoveries
- Ekurhuleni: 49 246 cases and 48 046 recoveries
- Tshwane: 48 611 cases and 42 156 recoveries
- Sedibeng: 14 860 cases and 11 419 recoveries
- West Rand: 14 142 cases and 12 007 recoveries
