Man shot and wounded in Ladysmith

Police have launched a manhunt after two armed robbers shot and wounded a man in his home in Ladysmith, KwaZulu-Natal early this morning.

When the well-known businessman went to investigate, he was confronted by two men, one armed with a pistol and the other with a knife. He was shot twice, Ladysmith Gazette reported.

It is alleged that the couple was woken by the sounds of their dogs barking at their home in Reebok Street at around 6am.

The robbers were allegedly looking for valuables and guns.

The wife of the man is reportedly unharmed while investigations are underway.
