Plett fires: fire raging in Kransbos area
Firefighters are on the scene to contain the situation, authorities say.
Bitou residents have been warned that a serious fire was still raging in the Uplands and Kransbos area on Monday, reports the Knysna-Plett Herald.
Municipal spokesperson Howard Swartz said that fire teams were, however, out in the field monitoring and controlling the fires and that no properties had been damaged so far.
He added that there were also minor flare-ups near the airport, Whale Rock, Beachy Head and Kranshoek.
“Firefighters are on the scene to contain the situation,” Swartz said.
