Suspects still at large after KZN farm murder
KwaMbonambi police have opened a case of murder after a farmer was murdered in his vegetable plantation in Sokhulu, KwaZulu-Natal.
It was alleged Simon Mchunu (58) left his home on Monday morning to work on his corn field,Zululand Observer reported.
At 9am, his wife started looking for him, but she only found the victim at 8pm at the far edge of the plantation with fatal stab wounds to the chest, police said.
Police added the motive for the killing is still unclear.
No arrests have been made.
On the same day, a 69-year-old farmer was shot dead on his property in Estcourt, KwaZulu-Natal.
The killers fled with his vehicle, said Major Thulani Zwane.
Police were investigating a case of murder and robbery.
