2 bodies found washed up on KZN beach
Police are investigating the discovery of two unidentified bodies, found 1km apart, on the beach.
Two bodies were found washed up between Reunion and Cuttings beaches, north of Amanzimtoti, in KZN yesterday morning.
Authorities were alerted in the early hours of the morning that an unidentified woman’s body had been discovered on the beach north of the Umlazi canal.
Andre Beetge, executive committee member of the eThekwini Municipality council, says that during the recovery of the woman’s body, they also found an unidentified male’s body approximately 1km away from hers.
Beetge says the relevant authorities have been alerted, and an inquest docket will be registered for an investigation.
An update will be given when more information becomes available.
