UPDATE: Bryanston murder victims identified
The victims shot dead early this morning have been identified as a couple living in Bryanston, Johannesburg.
Police spokesperson Captain Doniah Mothutsane said the couple had been found dead by a relative at 6am today, Sandton Chronicle reported.
“The relative alleges that when he woke up he saw that the door had been opened slightly and upon investigation, he found the couple murdered in their bedroom,” Mothutsane added.
Mothutsane also confirmed a White Audi A3 had been stolen from the property, and it had belonged to the deceased woman.
eBlockwatch‘s Andre Snyman said the stolen vehicle had been seen in Douglasdale and was being tracked.
That, however, remains unconfirmed at this stage.
Police are now investigating cases of murder and motor vehicle theft.
