Here’s a selection of great events happening in the neighbourhood for you to enjoy!

Friday, August 16

The quirky Winston Smile will have you in stitches.
  • Winston Smile will be entertaining customers at The Market at Lifestyle Centre from 6pm – 9pm.

Saturday, August 17

  •  Sable’s Creatures is holding their 4th annual craft beer, gin on tap and wine festival at Collisheen from 2pm – 6pm. Expect some awesome live music, great food stalls and a market with a variety of wares on sale, all in aid of our furry friends at Sables. Adults tickets are R50, available at the door.   • Stanger Training Centre is hosting a fishing competition and family fun day at Blythedale Beach. Tickets are R50 for under 12s and R70 for everyone else. Registration starts at 5.30am. Contact Shandrika at 084 558 5515 or Stanger Training Centre at 067 193 9589.
  • It’s time for a sokkie jol with Richard Brokensha! Join in the fun at Rain Farm at 6pm for 6.30pm. Cost is R120 and includes a beer or glass of wine. Bookings essential. Contact 032 815 1050 or info@rainfarm.co.za.

  • Ballito Rocks is an evening of musical entertainment featuring Ballito’s rising stars to raise funds for a kitchen for Shakaskraal SA Primary School – a non fee paying school. The event is at 6.30pm at Simbithi Country Club. Contact Gail at 083 484 0531.

  • Checkers Ballito Junction is hosting a Supplier Market Day to introduce new and interesting products to consumers this coming weekend, on Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 12pm. Shoppers will get to interact directly with suppliers including Amalgamated Beverage Industries (ABI), Tiger Brands, Simba, RCL Foods, Ola, Dairymaid, Frey, Osmans Spice, Tasty Mayo, Goosebumps, United Fish and Pieman’s.Suppliers will be presenting their products and possibly some tasty snacks as well. Bring your family along as there will be special offers, in-store competitions, delicious tasters and kids entertainment, including a Lego competition.

Nibs van der Spuy
  •  Nibs van der Spuy will be performing in The Market at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre for a breakfast session from 10.30am – 12.30pm.
  • Enjoy Sunday Jazz Sessions with Take Note on Eat Street from 1pm – 4pm at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre.

Tuesday, August 20

  • Moms and babies support group at Sage coffee shop, from 9am – 11am. The group is run for the community by professionally trained birth and baby supporters. Moms with babies and pregnant mothers are welcome at no charge.
