Jane Digby is hosting a 2-in-1 art exhibition at Simbithi.
  • Contemporary artist Jane Digby’s beautiful oil paintings will be on display at Simbithi Country Club, as part of her special 2-in-1 exhibition. The exhibition opened on Wednesday, August 28 and runs until September 1 at 4pm.

  • The talented Dave Starke will be performing live at The Market at Lifestyle Centre from 6pm – 9pm.

  • At 7pm tonight Castaway Love at the Ballito Lifestyle Centre are having a clothes swop! Bring five items of amazing clothing, shoes or accessories. A bottle of wine or whatever u want to drink. A friend or many friends. Entrance fee: R50. DJ Seastick Steve will be playing on the decks. RSVP to the store.

Ambassadors for Christ is hosting a Gospel Music Fest.
  • Ambassadors for Christ is hosting a Gospel Music Fest at Glenhills Sports Grounds in Stanger from 10am-10pm. There’ll be live gospel bands, pamper stalls, food stalls, kids’ entertainment and more! Tickets are R20 for adults and R10 for children under 12. Contact Pastor Isaac at 072 504 7668. Get creative making a spring hat with your little one.
  • BBS Mica is hosting a spring hat competition for children between 6-11 years old, with lovely prizes to be won. Contact Angie at 032 946 8400.
Get your shop on at the Westbrook Retirement Village fete.
  • Gather your family and friends for Westbrook Retirement Village’s fundraising fete from 9am to 4pm, with second-hand goods for sale, including clothes, household goods, books, CDs. Attendees can snack on boerewors rolls, hot dogs, bunny chows, curry and rotis. There will also be entertainment for children.

Sunday, September 1

King of the Shorebreak promises to be a fun day out for the whole family.
  • It’s finally time for the King of the Shorebreak competition, taking place at Salt Rock main beach. There’ll also be a Queen of the Shorebreak pageant at 1pm. Registration starts at 9am at Concha or Mozambik and costs R100 for age categories from 3 to 18+. All proceeds will go to Inqolobane Children’s Home. Contact Karen at 064 379 5663.
  • Seaton Spring Challenge from 6am-11am. 5km / 10km / 20km – R105 / R145 / R180 – 7:45 / 7:30 / 7:00. All courses will start from the beautiful Seaton Estate.

  • Music at The Orchard, featuring Shortstraw from 12pm to 5pm. Tickets at webtickets.co.za
  • Have a lazy lunch on Eat Street at Lifestyle Centre while enjoying the sounds of jazz with Josh Devine from 1pm – 4pm.
