Music Revival presents the celebrated ‘Trout’ Quintet by Franz Schubert in Ballito at Ashton International College, on Wednesday October 9.
This magnificent music for piano, violin, viola, cello and double bass is set to delight local audiences with its melodic ease and sparkling textures.
As part of the ongoing series of monthly concerts presented by Music Revival at the venue, this performance will see Christopher Duigan joined by Elena and Boris Kerimov (violin and cello – the Kerimov Trio), with David Snaith (viola) and Jura Litvinenko (bass).
They are all members of the KZN Philharmonic Orchetsra and are well known to local audiences though their numerous solo performances.
The ensemble also includes popular light classics including Brahms’ ‘Hungarian Dance No 5’, ‘ Monti’s ‘Czardas’, Massenet’s ‘Meditation’ from Thais, the popular Russian fold-song ‘Black Eyes’ and more.
The concert takes place on October 9 at 7pm, at the ‘Grace Hall’, Ashton International College in Ballito.
