Curro Salt Rock, world-class education on your doorstep

Pupils are introduced to 21st Century learning, with a core focus on ensuring each child has a strong foundation in math and sciences.

2023 promises to be a year of wonderful achievements and successes as Curro Salt Rock celebrates its 10th anniversary, as well as reaching the milestone of 1 000 learners in early January!

The Primary School offers every child a loving and nurturing environment where they are encouraged to be successful and thriving individuals.

They are also introduced to robotics and eSports.

Curro Salt Rock offers teaching in two mother tongues, providing both English and Afrikaans home language classes where possible.

Head of primary school Joe Erasmus said he was encouraged by the commitment and love that he sees from the staff.

Pupils such as Sariah Sivagopal, Trent Breckle, Onthatile Moeng, Slade de Swardt and Nokuthula Gumede flourish in a nurturing environment where they are encouraged to develop into courageous individuals.

“The eager and happy minds of all our pupils are just as encouraging to me as the new head of primary school. Each and every pupil is encouraged to be strong and courageous and together we will all soar like eagles!”

High school can be an adjustment for many, and to this end the school hosts leadership camps the very first week of class.

This allows teen learners to build relationships with each other and learn some valuable team and leadership skills.

After camp, the high schoolers return to school feeling more settled in the social aspect of high school and get to focus on academics.

Curro Salt Rock is excited about this year’s largest class that are part of the Curro Choice programme. This unique programme ensures pupils’ passions and interests are not restricted by the subject choices on offer.

These subjects are facilitated by experts in their field and are part of the high school pupils’ academic class schedule.

One of the school’s core goals is to ensure that the academic experience for all high schoolers offers great opportunities and allows for balance between academics, culture and sport.

From highly qualified science and math teachers to various cultural activities and clubs, and an AstroTurf for an amazing hockey experience, all Curro pupils also have the added platform of Curro Sport and Curro Create.

Head of High School Jennifer van Buuren expressed eagerness for the coming academic year.

“I am so excited about this new journey with Curro Salt Rock, where I am in my happy place. Opportunities for our learners to be creative, successful and fulfilled are boundless,” she said.
