Two suspected dealers arrested in R3-million cocaine bust in Ballito
Police believe the arrests will have a province-wide impact on the illegal drug industry.
Police on Sunday descended on a normally quiet short sea-side road in Ballito taking into custody two men, and seizing drugs worth millions.
The joint operation saw police deal a heavy blow in what provincial Saps spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele, believes will have a province-wide impact on the illegal drug industry.
Members of the Drug and Firearms Unit working hand-in-hand with the Point Task Team acted on a tip-off that drugs were being dealt from a Ozard Way property.

Six-thousand-four-hundred pieces of rock cocaine and a further 17 pieces of rock cocaine in varying forms were seized along with numerous clear plastic packets and bricks of suspected cocaine powder weighing roughly seven kilograms.
“The street value of the drugs is estimated at R3 million,” said Colonel Mbele.
The men, aged 39 and 44, were arrested for possession and dealing of drugs and will remain in the custody of the Umhlali police until they appear in the KwaDukuza Magistrate’s Court.
“We are continuing to fight drug trade in our province and we will not stop to put those responsible behind bars,” said provincial commissioner, Lieutenant-General Khombinkosi Jula.
