A 31-year-old woman was stabbed and killed allegedly by her partner at Watsonia Drive in Tongaat on Sunday.
According to Tongaat community policing forum chairperson, Nazir Sadack said the couple’s landlord heard screaming coming from the house and he went to check.
“As he arrived he saw the man driving away and when he got into the house, he found the woman with multiple stab wounds on the floor,” said Sadack.
The 28-year-old man was later arrested at his parent’s home in KwaDukuza.
Police said he was arrested for murder and is in police custody pending further investigation. He is expected to appear at the Verulam Magistrates Court soon.
In a separate incident, a 16-year-old teenager was arrested last Wednesday, for allegedly killing his friend at the Malende area, Groutville.
It is alleged that the two friends had an argument, which led to the 19-year-old being stabbed once on the chest.
The arrested teenager appeared at the KwaDukuza Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
