Salt Rock mother and children barricaded in storeroom by robbers
The robbers stole cell phones, a laptop and a white BMW X3.
Police are on the hunt for two armed men who robbed and barricaded a woman and three children into their Salt Rock home early this morning.
According to Umhlali Saps spokesperson Vinny Pillay, the men entered the property in Osborne Road property through a bedroom window at about 3am.
Armed with guns and a knife, the robbers forced the mother and children into a storeroom where they were barricaded in.
The robbers continued to ransack the property, stealing cell phones, a laptop and a white BMW X3, with a total estimated value of R500 000.
The mother and children eventually managed to escape and alerted neighbours who called their security company for help.
Umhlali Saps has registered a case of house robbery for investigation.
