Criminals posing as police strike during loadshedding

The thieves pointed a gun at the victim's three-year-old child.

A woman was held at gunpoint in her house in KwaDukuza during loadshedding on June 23.

It is alleged five men wearing facemasks posed as police officers from Gauteng, and told the woman she was suspected of selling drugs and alcohol.

They pointed a firearm at her three-year old child and took items from her car.

“Police traced the men to a house in Ntshawini township and found one suspect with alcohol and electric appliances, as well as a key of a vehicle which was found in Lindelani,” Myeni said.
