A man was stabbed while walking to work at Mandeni this morning.
Medics were alerted to the stabbing and, on arrival at the scene, found the man had been stabbed in the neck several times.
“The decision was made to activate the Air Mercy Services helicopter,” IPSS Medical Rescue’s Samantha Meyrick reported.
While awaiting the arrival of the helicopter medics worked to keep the man stable.
He was then taken to a specialised facility in Durban for further care.
Police are investigating.
