A group of scammers who are currently operating in KwaZulu-Natal have been posing as Eskom employees and offering “Energy Audits”.
In a press release Eskom made it clear that it is not doing residential audits anywhere in the country and “will never phone a home owner to access their home for an audit” .
Should anyone approach or call you to make an appointment for an “Eskom sanctioned energy audit”, report the incident to the police.
The company are urging the public to “not let anyone with such claims into your home for any reason”.
